Fundraisers help family of fallen WSU Officer

Posted by: Jennifer Gomori Posted date: December 16, 2016

Money is being raised for the family of Wayne State Police Officer Collin Rose, who was killed in the line of duty in November 2016.

Several fundraising events are being organized and Collin Rose End of Watch (E.O.W.) items are being sold. Commemorative Challenge Coins in honor and memory of Rose are being sold for $15 each and wristbands and vinyl stickers are also available. Click below for links to order and view the wristbands, stickers and coins.

“We wanted to have a keepsake for people and have money go to them,” said Wayne State University Local POLC Union President Chris Powell.

The Annual Fallen Officer Memorial 5k Run through Ferris State University’s Criminal Justice Program is this spring. A 30-mile memorial bicycle ride on Rose’s birthday April 1, 2017 is planned in conjunction with a 5k Run honoring Detroit Officer Patrick Hill, also killed in the line of duty. A golf outing in Rose’s honor is also scheduled for July 24, 2017. Click on links below for more information and to register.
