Flip the pages in new digital Police Officers Journal

Posted by: Jennifer Gomori Posted date: November 17, 2017

From body cameras with footage stored on the Cloud to advancements in evidence collection, criminal pursuits and investigations, technology plays a key role in law enforcement today. Municipalities are also becoming faster and more efficient, putting aside paper and reaching out to residents through social media, interactive websites, digital invitations and more.

The digital age, whether we like it or not, provides a quicker means of communication and it’s time we bring our members their union news with that in mind.

In 2018, the POLC/GELC will usher in the first flip page electronic Police Officers Journal and end print publication. The new electronic Journal will be posted on www.polc.org and www.leepusa.com under Publications, allowing members to flip through the pages digitally when they have free time, instead of toting around a print copy. Currently, PDF versions of the printed Journals are posted online, including the last printed edition, Police Officers Journal Winter 2018.

Each time a quarterly flip page Journal is posted, an announcement will link website visitors to the latest edition, available at the click of a mouse.

We welcome the input of our members. If there are any topics you would like to see addressed in the Police Officers Journal, please contact your labor representative.
